CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA — Delegate John Cosgrove was recently appointed by the Speaker of the House of Delegates to the Modeling and Simulations Advisory Council, the Aerospace Advisory Council and the Joint Subcommittee to Study Science and Technology Education in Business, Law, and Policy Graduate Program at the Commonwealth’s institutions of higher education.
Delegate Cosgrove, a member of the Joint Commission of Technology and Science, has been recognized by Speaker William J. Howell as one of the most qualified and informed members of the Virginia legislature dealing with technology issues. In announcing his appointments to these technology related committees, Speaker Howell noted, “Delegate Cosgrove has been dedicated to the development of technology initiatives in our Commonwealth and has played a strong leadership role in developing Modeling and Simulation as well as Space Exploration technologies so that these industries will thrive in Virginia.”
Delegate Cosgrove was the chief sponsor of the bills that established the Modeling and Simulations Advisory Commission and the Virginia Aerospace Advisory Council. He also is chairman of the Study Commission investigating Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education in our Virginia schools.
